Come join us and see hundreds of wonderful works of art by the students of Fillmore.
The core of Fillmore's philosophy is a belief that all children should receive a skill-based, quality arts education.
Fillmore provides an in-depth arts education program at two sites; Fillmore East and Fillmore West, to 2,000 students annually from Clark, Hearst, Hyde, Key, Mamie D. Lee, Rudolph, Raymond, Ross, Stoddert , Walker Jones, West elementary schools and Backus, and Oyster students at Oyster-Adams Middle Schools.
Fillmore also serves the greater metropolitan area through its after-school classes and summer camp at the Fillmore West site.
Did you know:
- Younger students take an hour of visual arts and an hour of music, dance and drama each week at Fillmore. All second graders will have a hands-on experience with the violin.
- Students in grades 3 5/6 choose from electives like strings, winds, digital art, dance, drama, playwriting, music theater, and sculpture.
- Fillmore teachers are also practicing artists in their disciplines, and two of our dance teachers studied in Canada, Mexico and West Africa this summer.
- Fillmore student work was recognized locally and nationally last year.
